Allen Joseph Courville, 78 of Eunice, Louisiana died on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, Louisiana.

Born Tuesday, February 7, 1933 in Eunice, Louisiana. Mr. Courville is survived by his wife, Rose Newman Courville of Eunice; three sons, Carl Courville & Becky of Clinton,, MS, Chris Courville & Gail of Eunice, LA and Patrick Courville of Eunice, LA, three daughters, Janice Bertrand & Steve of Eunice, LA, Phyllis Tauzin & Nelson of Rayne, LA and Melanie Courville of Ville Platte, LA, one sister, Ivy Callegan of Clinton, MS; 17 grand children; 23 great grand children; 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve & Elta Courville Courville; and one brother, Dennis Courville. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial to follow in Courville Cemetery, Eunice. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a rosary @ 7:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM on Saturday for a visitation until the service at 1:00 PM. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
