Agnes Courville Ashford passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015, at the age of 84.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. Deacon Chuck Ortego will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile.

Agnes is survived by two daughters, Linda Cormier and husband Dale of Eunice and Phyllis Dupre of Basile; three sons, Danny Ashford of Jennings, Mike Ashford and wife Janell of Basile, and Troy Ashford and wife Becky of Eunice; three sisters, Ruth Rawls of Baton Rouge, Elaine Guillory of Eunice, and Joann Augustine of Naples, FL; fourteen grandchildren; and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Ashford; her parents, Yeve Courville and Belle Bellow and one brother, John Courville.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Chuck Ortego. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday for visitation until the time of service.
