Abigail Ponthier Courville passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the age of 70. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Courville Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from noon until 9:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025 and will resume at 8:00 AM on Friday until time of Services. Abigail is survived by her husband, Chris Courville; three sons, Chad Allen Courville (Angie), C.J. Courville, Casey Andre` Courville; one daughter, Kellie Nicole Matte (Jody); one sister, Vanessa Ponthier; eleven grandchildren, Seth Courville, Maegan Johnson, Raegan Johnson, Jordan Courville, Jessi Courville, Kyndal Courville, Conner Matte (Paisley Bordelon), Rylie Matte, Lily Courville, Jodi Matte, Tori Matte and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Ray and Gladys Sebastian Ponthier; three brothers, Kenneth Ponthier, Michael Ponthier, Bobby Ponthier and one sister, Kathleen Lyons.
