Able Aguillard, Jr., age 79, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Savoy Extended Hospital. He is survived by his daughter Darlene Chamout and her husband Bill of Oberlin, LA; a brother, Carol Aguillard of Upland, CA; a sister, Nellie A. Myers of Basile; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Hatcher Aguillard; a daughter, Kay Aguillard ; son, Steven Aguillard; four brothers, Mervin, Berlyn, Calvin and Gerald Aguillard; a step-daughter, Darlene Jones; parents, Abel Aguillard, Sr. and Lucille Young Aguillard. A memorial will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Basile. Pastor Dwayne Smith will preside over the memorial service. Internment was in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Basile. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
