Cecil Ray Bunn passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the age of 86. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clark Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of Services on Thursday. Cecil loved his family deeply and was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hunting was a big part of his life and his happy place was at his farm in northeast Texas, where he was born and raised. He attended First Baptist Church of Eunice during the 20 years that he lived in Eunice. He then attended Calvary Baptist Church when they relocated to Alexandria, LA. Cecil is survived by his wife, Rosemary Bass Bunn; two daughters, Leanna Soileau and husband Danny, Lisa White and husband Michael; one sister, Myrna McKinney; two grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Tatum and Tate. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ray Bunn and Arene Owens Bunn.
