I only met Michael a few times when dropping off or picking up my kids from ABC. I had three daughters and a son that worked under him. They spoke highly of him. My son Wesley was the one I think he had the biggest impact on. As a parent you look for people like Michael for your kids to be around and learn from. I made sure I told Michael of my appreciation for his influence on not only Wesley but countless other kids and adults.
I was blessed to have attended his memorial service and was amazed at the Faith he instilled in all those who shared. I barely new him and was impacted by the way people spoke of him and watching people react as things were shared about him, it wasn't just nice things to say when someone passes, it was heartfelt truth.
I have a hard time understanding why he had to leave at such a young age, but, that is where faith comes in, God knows best. Just listening to all that spoke using the opportunity as Michael would to share the Gospel of Christ was indeed a blessing.
